
You Xian Ng is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and a qualified mediator accredited by the International Mediation Institute.
You Xian has worked on high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes, with particular focus on shipping and maritime, energy, oil & gas, international trade and asset-related disputes. His practice spans international commercial arbitration, cross-border litigation strategy, interim relief, enforcement and complex evidentiary issues arising from multi-party transactions.
He has experience in international arbitration conducted under the LMAA, HKIAC, SIAC and AIAC rules, including London-seated proceedings and matters involving the application of the Civil Evidence Act 1995 and the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence. His work also includes disputes arising from sanctions-impacted transactions, asset-freezing relief and maritime claims, including ship arrest proceedings.
In addition to contentious work, You Xian has advised Chinese and international clients on non-contentious aspects of shipping and ship finance transactions.
